Job Description

Responsibilities

  • People Management: Lead resource planning, hiring, training, goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, engagement, and well-being of the engineering team.
  • Activity Organization: Organize and plan design activities based on workload, project complexity, and required skillsets.
  • Capacity & Versatility Management: Manage the load and capacity of the team and foster versatility in their skills.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure technical quality and service levels are consistently maintained throughout the quotation and engineering lifecycle.
  • Training & Development: Define training programs based on skill matrices and target competencies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with project objectives is maintained within product definition files and quotation and design intent.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of design activities in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure overall customer satisfaction and quality are delivered for both internal and external customers.
  • Change Leadership: Lead change initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction through effective change management.

Functional Competencies

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Excellent problem-resolution skills and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with individuals from different cultural backgrounds located in remote locations.
  • Ability to think outside the box and creatively.
  • Must work extremely well in a team environment and possess the ability to embrace change.
  • Have strong mediation, negotiation, and facilitation skills.

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech in Electrical/EEE Engineering with 10+ years of direct engineering & quotations experience with ETO equipment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated leadership/people management skills.
  • Masters in Power System / Control System Engineering will be an added advantage
