JOB SUMMARY
- To lead, execute and implement Energy & Water conservation initiatives across manufacturing units in India, ensuring adherence to PR Carbon Neutrality Program of 2030, corporate sustainability targets, regulatory mandates and EHS guidelines.
- To drive benchmarking of energy and water consumption parameters across Own and Sub-lease units, establishing performance baselines and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Develop, standardize and implement Energy & Water management frameworks, SOPs and best practices PAN India in alignment with corporate sustainability strategy.
- Lead end-to-end projects for energy and water reduction — spanning audits, feasibility, execution and stabilization — across greenfield and brownfield unit environments.
- Own and track Energy & Water KPIs including consumption intensity, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance and reduction targets across all units.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Benchmarking & Standards Development:
- Establish and maintain energy and water consumption benchmarks across all 23 units, enabling performance comparison and target-setting.
- Develop standardized norms, SOPs and engineering guidelines for energy and water usage across Own and Sub-lease manufacturing units.
- Conduct periodic audits and gap assessments against internal benchmarks and external best practices (ISO 50001, ISO 14001, BEE standards, etc.).
- Ensure all units comply with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements related to energy and water (BEE, CGWA, PCB, etc.).
Project Management (Energy & Water Reduction Initiatives)
- Lead and manage end-to-end energy and water reduction projects across units within defined budget, timeline and quality parameters.
- Coordinate with unit teams, contractors and vendors for project execution; review progress against planned cost, quality and schedule.
- Track project performance against short-term and long-term reduction goals; provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on strategy, progress and risks.
- Enforce safety standards and safe work practices during all project execution phases.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable industry and sustainability standards (ISO 50001, ISO 14001, HACCP, GMP, as applicable).
Value Engineering & Cost Efficiency:
- Analyze energy and water consumption patterns across units and recommend process modifications for efficiency gains.
- Implement cost-effective corrective actions to address consumption inefficiencies and operational bottlenecks.
- Drive standardization of energy and water-related equipment, spares and utilities to improve cost efficiency PAN India.
Innovation & Technology Implementation:
- Identify and implement innovative solutions — including automation, digitization and IoT-based monitoring — to enhance energy and water efficiency across units.
- Review and approve layouts, equipment specifications and utility requirements for energy and water-related infrastructure upgrades.
- Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies and practices relevant to water recycling, energy recovery and consumption reduction.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders including unit operations teams, finance, EHS and corporate sustainability functions.
- Liaise with external consultants, technology vendors, regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
- Support performance qualification, trial runs and commissioning for new energy and water systems.
Capability Building & Governance:
- Develop, train and coach unit-level teams on energy and water management practices and standards.
- Lead structured handover of implemented projects with qualified performance parameters and complete documentation.
- Prepare and present MIS reports, dashboards and governance reviews to leadership on energy and water performance

PROFILE DETAILS
QUALIFICATION
Essential Criteria-
- Full time Engineering Degree (Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering preferred)
Desirable Criteria-
- Proven experience in implementing energy and water efficiency projects in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Certification in Energy Management (BEE Certified Energy Auditor / Manager) is desirable
- Strong understanding of energy auditing, water balancing and utility management systems
- Hands-on experience with ISO 50001 (Energy Management) and/or ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) frameworks
- Familiarity with regulatory landscape — BEE, CGWA, State PCBs and environmental compliance requirements
- Ability to use appropriate decision-making processes including consultation with relevant cross-functional stakeholders
EXPERIENCE
- 6+ years of hands-on work experience in Energy and/or Water management in manufacturing or FMCG environments
- 3+ years of experience leading energy/water projects or sustainability function at a plant or regional level
- Proven track record of delivering measurable energy and water reduction outcomes across multiple manufacturing sites
- A target-oriented and self-driven individual with a high sense of achievement to accomplish departmental and organizational sustainability goals
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret consumption data and derive actionable insights
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with multiple simultaneous projects across geographies
