Job Description

Position – Senior Manager (Electrical Design)

Details about the position:

Designation - Senior Manager Grade - Middle/Senior Level

Division - Electrical Design Location - Sitarganj

Desired candidate profile for the position:

1. Qualification BE/B.Tech (Electrical Engineering)

2. Previous Experience - 8 to 10Years

3. Key Deliverables of this role 

*). Lead a team of engineers for electrical design and development 

*). Review and approve design calculations, drawings and BOMs 

*). Ensure compliance with customer specifications, IS/IEC standards and internal guidelines 

*). Drive optimization of design for cost, performance and manufacturability

*). Coordinate with Mechanical Design, Production, Quality, and Testing teams 

*). Support tendering and technical discussions with customers 

*). Handle design deviations, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives 

*). Ensure proper documentation, standardization, and design control systems 

*). Strong expertise in transformer electrical design (losses, impedance, insulation coordination, thermal aspects) 

*). Leadership and team management skills 

*). Analytical and problem-solving ability 

*). Strong understanding of customer specifications and industry standards (IS/IEC) 

*). Effective cross-functional coordination and communication 

*). Timely and accurate release of design outputs 

*). Reduction in design errors and rework 

*). Cost optimization and design efficiency improvements

4. Must have functional competencies

Experience of Electrical Design of Power Transformers – 132kV class up to 400kV class
