Lead and manage all electrical engineering activities in the Thermal Power plant, ensuring seamless operations, compliance with safety standards, and optimum equipment performance.
Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all electrical equipment including transformers, switchgears, motors, generators, and protection systems.
Oversee the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to support expansion, modernization, and reliability enhancement projects.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, instrumentation, and civil departments to ensure integrated and efficient power plant operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance data, identifying root causes of failures, and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
Ensure adherence to regulatory compliances, corporate safety policies, and environmental guidelines pertaining to electrical systems and operations.
Manage budget planning, procurement, and vendor relationships related to electrical components, spares, and services, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
Mentor and develop electrical engineering teams by providing technical guidance, training, and career development opportunities aligned with Adani's culture of learning and growth.
Lead incident investigations related to electrical failures or safety breaches and formulate robust action plans to mitigate risks.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork within the electrical department, championing Adani's values of care and commitment to stakeholders.
Liaise with external agencies, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and adoption of best practices.
Provide technical inputs for project proposals, feasibility studies, and capital expenditure planning to support strategic decision-making.
Drive digitalization and adoption of advanced technologies such as condition monitoring systems, automation, and smart grid solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and record-keeping for all electrical operations and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university. - Master's Degree or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering is preferred.
Certification Required
Professional certification such as Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent, is highly desirable. - Certifications in electrical safety, project management (PMP or equivalent), and power system protection are advantageous.
