Job Description

Position: Senior Manager, Dubbing Coordination

Reports to: Sr. Director, Localization Operations

About the role

As the Senior Manager, Dubbing Coordination, you will be responsible for leading a team of Dubbing Coordinators, Leads, and Managers and overseeing all aspects of dubbing projects with both Deluxe-owned and external dubbing studios. Your role will involve managing personnel and day-to-day operations of the Dubbing Coordination team, ensuring successful project execution, and fostering collaboration and communication within the team and with internal and external partners.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of Dubbing Coordinators, Leads, and Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance to ensure the successful execution of dubbing projects and adherence to project timelines.
  • Act as a point of escalation for project-related issues, providing guidance and support to Dubbing Coordinators, Leads, Managers, and Creative Dubbing Supervisors to address challenges and mitigate risks.
  • Work with internal Deluxe teams, such as Order Management, Subtitling Coordination, Vendor Management, Business Excellence, and Audio, to enable them to successfully deliver on their roles.
  • Ensure proactive escalation of issues to the appropriate teams/stakeholders and monitor the resolution/delivery.
  • Liaise with Dubbing Support functions to maintain dubbing studios adherence to client workflows/specifications. Identify and facilitate resolution of challenges or inefficiencies and provide feedback on studios as needed.
  • Liaison between the Dubbing Coordination team and other departments, ensuring alignment and coordination across all aspects of project delivery, with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Own data management in Deluxe systems and spreadsheets, with a goal to ensure data is 100% accurate and timely, thus ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into project performance, key metrics, and areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and lead a team of Dubbing Coordinators/Managers. Support them in their professional growth and development. Provide regular performance feedback.
  • Own the team's culture, performance, and career progression of team members to ensure business continuity.
  • Strategically drive process improvements and own efficiency targets for the team, constantly improve and automate workflows/checks to make the process more efficient.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in film, media production, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in project coordination or management, with a track record of successfully leading teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage conflict, negotiate agreements, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Sfera, Jira, Smartsheet) preferred.
  • Knowledge of dubbing workflows and processes required.
