Senior Manager, Data Platform & Products - Data Engineer

Position overview: The role of a data engineer focuses on the engineering and development work related to the creation of reusable data products, models and assets that provide data for broader divisional use in our company Manufacturing division. Incumbent will be responsible for understanding business/data requirements, formulating appropriate solution architectures, building data structures and models supporting business goals, and generally providing technical leadership to the group. The incumbent must demonstrate fluency with cloud technologies, such as AWS, and big data environments. Collaboration and the ability to communicate solutions to a non-technical audience is key. Relevant knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems is big benefit, including manufacturing execution, lab management, ERP, quality, and supply chain. Interest in mentoring and leading other colleagues is a plus.

Role description:

• Help building data ecosystem supporting our company Manufacturing division.
• Build sets of reusable data products to support multiple digital and analytical solutions across the division.
• Get insight data are contributing on addressing problems in pharma business.
• Work with suit of AWS cloud services and other modern cloud technologies and capabilities and participate in the continuous push for new patters and technology.
• Solve complex technical & business problems.
• Get understanding of the manufacturing domain of a pharma company.
• Participate in building and establishing a data strategy for division from ground up.
• Work in an international team in an agile setup.

Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of working experience in a relevant IT role.
• 5+ years of working in data analytics or data modeling role.
• Significant working experience with data analysis and data modeling.
• Ability to leverage CI/CD patterns in data modelling process, knowledge of DBT is a plus.
• Programing languages/scripting: SQL, Python.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English.
• Deep knowledge of SQL for purposes of code-based model building.
• Knowledge of AWS stack (S3, IAM, Glue).
• Knowledge of Spark is a plus.
