CNS - Risk - Process & Controls :

We help our clients in identifying and managing the interplay between upside and downside risk in order to make the long-term decisions to prevent risk and impact on their organization's ability to meet its future business strategy and objectives. The 3 key fields of play are :

Enterprise Risk - helps clients identify and address key risk areas, while building the agility to respond quickly. The areas of focus include Enterprise risk and resilience, Internal audit, Compliance and Internal controls

Technology Risk - helps clients to achieve sustainable growth by supporting their efforts to protect their business performance and by providing trusted communications on internal control and regulatory compliance to investors, management, regulators, customers and other stakeholders. EY teams accomplish this by assessing the technology risks that are introduced to businesses.

Financial Services Risk - helps clients in the financial sector to identify, manage and monitor the risks in their business. It is done through a transformative and agile approach including process and procedures, risk, data modeling and analytics, reporting to stakeholders and third parties, business requirements (for software selection and IT implementation), analysis of assets and liabilities, and capital and liquidity management.

Your Key Responsibilities

Technical Excellence

  • Project Manager in Change Office partners across the organization to define the strategic transformation vision and roadmap, drive implementation of initiatives (including engagement & partnership with key stakeholders) and consistently delivers high-quality execution of change.
  • Collaborating globally across functions (including Core Portfolio Management, Data & Analytics, Investment Teams, Investor Relations, Legal, Finance & Technology), effectively communicating and engaging with third parties will be a key component of this role.
  • Project Manager will work closely with programme managers to align with the technical and functional implementation, to leverage lessons learned, manage interdependencies and ensure thoughtful coordination across the roadmap.
  • Project Manager is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:
  • Leading the organisational change to ensure smooth adoption across the business, whilst minimizing disruption to achieve the project/programmes intend benefits.
  • Effectively manage the deployment of new systems/applications/tools/products/processes by designing and building an effective communication and training strategy to keep staff informed and upskilling all impacted employees on the new system and processes.
  • Leading transition activities, supporting employees through the change and ensuring adoption, by engaging with leaders and employees to ensure buy-in, manage expectations and minimise resistance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project and change management plans, associated artefacts & measurements, in order to effectively deliver to plan
  • Lead respective project governance forums (e.g. working groups, workshops, planning sessions) to facilitate effective decisioning, escalation and engagement of key stakeholders
  • Diligently manage project budgets

Skills And Attributes

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience (min. 5 years) in leading transformation initiatives in financial services
  • Robust and accurate project plans & reporting to ensure transparency on projects critical paths, key risks, issues and dependencies
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbally), including the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise presentations to enable decisioning
  • Ability to lead by example, problem solve through proactively identifying risks and mitigating resistance
  • Understand project lifecycles and lead smaller projects independently as required.
  • Track record in effectively engaging and partnering across the organization
  • A team player who is comfortable interacting with staff at all levels, including senior management
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment and can nimbly adapt to new and changing priorities

Stakeholder Management

  • Lucid and structured communication tailored to the audience
  • Experience in independently running workshops with both business as well as technical stakeholders to elicit business needs and requirements, review analysis and validate documented projects artefacts
  • Ability to develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies, build strong rapport, constructively challenge stakeholder assumptions and mediate between conflicting requirements ensuring consensus
  • Ability to communicate complex solutions to stakeholders, both technical as well as non-technical in a clear and succinct manner
  • Ability to communicate rationale behind business needs and bring business teams/stakeholders and senior partners to align and concur
  • Exposure to working with external third-party vendors and partners

The Following Is Desirable, But Not Essential

  • Knowledge of Private Equity
  • Experience of working on projects related to HR and Finance systems
  • Experience of team management
