GeM invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the following position(s) on Contractual Basis:

This is a contractual engagement under the Project Management Unit (PMU) for an initial period of 5 years, extendable based on performance and organizational requirements.

Job Specification

Role And Responsibility

• Support business development and growth of the Forward Auction platform by engaging with relevant stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities and use cases, promoting adoption, and providing strategic inputs for expansion and enhancement of the Forward Auction ecosystem.
• Shall be single point of contact for GeM Technology and Architecture design and implementation for Forward Auction.
• Responsible for overall health of Forward Auction on portal using effective data and analytics
• Management of the SME/ Service Provider for development of Forward Auction and interaction with MSP for monitoring of development requirements.
• Develop deep understanding of existing GeM architecture and manage architectural requirements.
• Imbibe key GeM architectural principles proposed by Purchaser and perform detailed design of software, hardware, network and security architecture of GeM Forward Auction.
• Review software solution development to ensure alignment with the architecture designed should proactively monitor the adherence of the implementation to the chosen architecture during all iterations.
• Monitor continuous improvements in architecture, solution, algorithms and infrastructure to contain costs.
• Manage GeM Forward Auction architectural changes and ensure timely and accurate documentation of all key changes.
• Any other responsibility may be assigned from time to time.

JOB QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 11+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering and/or product development.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and derive high-level architecture diagrams and technical designs, FRS, use cases and design patterns
• Must have strong understanding of application architectures, system planning, networking, operating systems, mobile & web technologies
• Awareness of various technologies including Service Oriented Architecture, Business Process Management, workflow, BI, web architecture, and development platforms and tools.
• Should possess extensive detailed working knowledge and acumen in the employment enterprise architecture best practices, including, but not limited to, logical and physical data architectures on public cloud, network communications, operating systems, applications, data base servers, application servers, web servers, server network and storage performance, middleware, server and storage virtualization & capacity planning. Should have experience of hosting an enterprise application on pure cloud.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology or MCA from a reputed institute or University.
