Overview
- Objective: The Global Category Analyst provides analytical, operational, and administrative support to the Senior Manager, Global Category, enabling effective execution of the global category agenda.
- Purpose: This role exists to support, coordinate, and operationalize global category initiatives by preparing materials, organizing inputs, synthesizing insights, and maintaining tools, playbooks, and forums. The analyst helps ensure workstreams progress efficiently and consistently.
- Scope: The role supports multiple elements of the global category agenda, including: documentation and maintenance of category playbooks, training and global connection forums; integration and synthesis of insights from multiple sources; and administrative and operational support across category workstreams
Responsibilities
Insights Sourcing & Synthesis
- Source insights from multiple internal and external providers (eg. Market data, shopper insights, trends) and maintain insights repositories
- Organize, summarize, and synthesize data into clear, concise outputs that feed into thought leadership narratives
Category Services Codification (with GCC)
- Support the codification and documentation of category services in partnership with GCC
Global Community Forum Coordination
- Provide support with agendas, materials preparation, notes capture, and follow up actions for global category forums
- Maintain shared repositories, distribution lists, and collaboration spaces
Training & Enablement Support
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of global category training materials and sessions
- Track participation, feedback, and follow ups related to training activities
Category Playbook Support
- Support the development, and upkeep of the Global Category Leadership Playbook
Administrative & Operational Support
- Manage category assets and shared respositories on ASK ADA.
- Maintain distribution lists, calendars, and status updates for the global category agenda
Assist with ad hoc requests as needed
Working Hours: 1pm-10pm IST
Qualifications
Core Skills -
Translate complex, multi-source data into clear, actionable insights and compelling strategic narratives; structured thinking with expertise in applying and evolving frameworks, playbooks, and operating models to drive consistency and scalability; excellent communication skills; ability to independently drive and coordinate multiple workstreams
Technical Skills -
Proficiency in excel, word and PowerPoint with ability to build executive level deliverables
Ways of Working -
Highly collaborative and proactive; comfortable operating in ambiguity; detail oriented with a strong sense of ownership
Experience:
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in analytics, category management, commercial strategy, or consulting, with increasing responsibility and ownership
- Experience working in global, matrixed environments, demonstrating ability to manage cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced experience strongly preferred
