Global Business Services

Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

Global Business Services is recognized for flawless execution, sound risk management, operational resiliency, operational excellence and innovation.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview.

Quantitative Finance (QF) is part of the Corporate Treasury function, which is a part of the Chief Financial Officer organization. The QF team develops analytical solutions using complex quantitative and financial methodologies to measure value and risk. These analytics are executed on a high-performance, computational environment utilizing over 23,000 cores and executing 115,000 jobs per day. The team provides end-to-end analytics support from quantitative research and development to model implementation and platform execution. The role interacts closely with Treasury partners (BSM, GLM, ECM, etc.), Corporate Investments (CIO), Global Risk Analytics (GRA) and other stakeholders to develop analytical solutions, drive platform modernization, strengthen data governance, and support production operations.

Job Description.

This role requires strong critical thinking skills to address complex challenges facing the company and financial services industry, with an emphasis on attention to detail, collaboration, and effective communication.

Treasury provides an opportunity to gain broad knowledge about the company and its many businesses. Your day-to-day experience will be varied and challenging and provide hands-on responsibilities and opportunities to expand your expertise across multiple disciplines within Treasury and Quantitative Finance.

Responsibilities.

• Support production analytical and reporting execution by monitoring critical processes, investigating issues, coordinating remediation activities, and ensuring operational stability.
• Design, develop, and enhance analytical reporting and forecasting solutions supporting Treasury and market risk activities.
• Drive platform modernization, software transformation, and legacy application decommissioning efforts.
• Utilize automation, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with business, technology, compliance, risk, and global stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver solutions, and support successful execution and adoption of strategic initiatives.
• Produce and maintain technical and business documentation supporting solution implementation, governance, and operational readiness.
• Improve data transparency, traceability, documentation, and governance across internal and external data ecosystems.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and governance to ensure successful delivery.

B. Tech (Computer science) + CFA/FRM

Experience Range.

8+ years

Foundational skills.

• Advanced degree in Quantitative Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred a bachelor's degree is acceptable with relevant work experience
• Strong programming skills: Python, R, Java or similar language
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders
• Ability to work in a highly controlled and audited environment
• Self-starter with the ability to independently identify opportunities, prioritize work, and drive results with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data and translate into business solutions and intellectual curiosity
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time sensitive environment
• Strong presentation and data handling/analysis experience

Desired skills

• Experience working with large-scale data platforms, databases, cloud solutions, and data governance frameworks
• Experience in software development using Perl
• Experience in UNIX/LINUX environment and shell scripting
• Experience with modern software engineering practices including version control, Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Jira.
• Experience with or academic exposure to techniques in applied mathematics, computer science, financial theory, derivatives
