Senior Manager / Associate Director – Product Management, Pre-Order Journey

About the Role

At Snapdeal, millions of customers begin their shopping journey every day. We are looking for a Senior Manager / Associate Director – Product Management to own and enhance the entire Pre-Order Journey, spanning discovery, consideration, and checkout.

This role will be responsible for defining product strategy, driving execution, and delivering measurable improvements across key customer journeys. The ideal candidate combines strong product thinking, analytical rigor, and execution excellence to build seamless experiences that improve customer engagement, conversion, and trust.

You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Growth, Business, and Category teams to build scalable product solutions that impact millions of customers.

What You'll Own

End-to-End Pre-Order Experience

Drive product strategy and execution across critical customer touchpoints, including:

  • Product Discovery & Navigation
  • Search & Recommendations
  • Product Detail Page (PDP)
  • Pricing, Offers & Promotions
  • Cart Experience
  • Checkout Journey
  • Payment Experience
  • Delivery Promise & Trust Signals

Focus on creating a frictionless shopping experience that delivers both customer value and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for Snapdeal's pre-order customer journey.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, engagement, and conversion across the funnel.
  • Translate business objectives and customer insights into scalable product initiatives.
  • Drive innovation through personalization, experimentation, and emerging technologies.

Growth & Conversion Optimization

  • Own and improve key funnel metrics, including:
  • Click-Through Rate (CTR)
  • Add-to-Cart Rate
  • Checkout Conversion
  • Payment Success Rate
  • Order Completion Rate
  • Leverage customer research, behavioral analytics, and experimentation to identify friction points and growth opportunities.
  • Drive A/B testing and iterative product improvements based on data and customer insights.
  • Continuously optimize customer journeys to reduce drop-offs and improve repeat purchase behavior.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Growth, Category, and Business teams to deliver high-impact product initiatives.
  • Drive alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and execution plans across stakeholders.
  • Influence decision-making through structured problem-solving, data-driven insights, and strong product judgment.
  • Ensure seamless execution and delivery of product initiatives with clear success metrics.

Product Execution & Operational Excellence

  • Define product KPIs and establish mechanisms to monitor business and customer outcomes.
  • Convert ambiguous problems into actionable product opportunities and execution plans.
  • Ensure timely delivery of initiatives while maintaining a high quality bar.
  • Contribute to building product management best practices and mentoring junior team members where applicable.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 8–12 years of Product Management experience in Consumer Internet, E-commerce, Marketplace, Retail Tech, or other high-scale B2C businesses.
  • Proven experience owning customer-facing products and driving measurable improvements in funnel metrics.
  • Strong track record of delivering products from concept to launch and scale.
  • Experience in conversion optimization, experimentation, personalization, and growth-focused initiatives.

Expertise

  • Strong understanding of customer behavior, product analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical considerations.
  • Experience working on Search, Recommendations, Checkout, Payments, Customer Experience, or Growth products is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable operating in dynamic and fast-paced environments with a high degree of ownership.

Stakeholder Management

  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across teams.
  • Experience mentoring Product Managers or Associate Product Managers is a plus.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in E-commerce, Marketplace, Quick Commerce, Retail Tech, or Consumer Platforms.
  • Exposure to personalization, recommendation systems, customer journey optimization, or growth products.
  • MBA from a premier institution and/or strong engineering background preferred.
