What I'll be doing your accountabilities
- Driving the business to ensure that business plans are stretching and delivered, and also ensuring that the reported results are a true and fair representation of the APAC business.
- Assisting the Finance Business Partner of the region ensuring that transparent business plans are created which results in predictable financial performance which has been underpinned by robust business analytics.
- Owner of the APAC balance sheet.
- Leader for finance systems and process across the APAC which means identifying and implementing finance transformation projects.
- Leader of the Budget and Outlook team for APAC Regional Operations. The aim of this is to ensure that the business has timely and accurate information to optimize financial performance. Continuously looking for opportunities to simplify and improve in this area.
- Responsible for managing the financial process around capital investments ensuring that capital is optimally used, supports the strategy and can be measured in-life against the original business plan. Post Investment Reviews should be conducted on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for managing the working capital of the APAC. This is to ensure that we optimize the use of cash. Plans must be made to improve time to receive cash particularly working closely with billing and collections.
- Responsible for managing the Treasury function of the APAC. Ensuring that the partner banks are well managed, that cash is efficiently used across the geography.
- Stakeholder management is an essential part of this role.
Skills required for the job
Essential skills & Experience:
A broad background in financial planning, reporting, analysis, consolidations and systems
Qualified accountant and Audit background with depth knowledge of BT finance systems and processes
Shapes and designs finance transformation and regulatory changes for the geography
