Role description
About the Role
Paytm Travel is seeking a strategic Alliances & Partnerships Manager to drive a high-impact, three-part mandate: building and monetizing strategic brand alliances for Run-off GMV, owning the Non-paid Branding agenda, and expanding our reach across Marketplaces and Aggregators.
You will be responsible for creating the playbook from scratch to capture high-frequency consumer transactions and convert them into Travel bookings through embedded touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Run-off Partnerships (GMV Focus)
- Pipeline Management: Identify and build a pipeline of India's top 20 high-transaction consumer brands (Telecom, E-commerce, Food Delivery) where user overlap is material.
- Embedded Integration: Execute run-off mechanisms including post-payment nudges, API/SDK integrations on partner confirmation screens, and in-app embeds (e.g., Travel tiles in partner apps)
- Commercial Modeling: Negotiate revenue share, Marketing Development Funds (MDF), and performance-based commercial terms
- Performance Tracking: Build and own a weekly attribution dashboard to track partner-originated bookings, conversion rates, and GMV contribution.
Non-paid Branding & Exclusive OffersBarter Ecosystem: Own the non-paid partnership layer where the currency is audience access and offer exclusivity rather than cash.
- Exclusive Offers: Curate a Best-in-Class exclusive offers program for Paytm Travel users from brands like Zomato, Myntra, and Ola.
- Co-branded Collateral: Manage all co-branded assets, including digital boarding passes and seasonal travel bundles (e.g., Holi/Diwali campaigns).
- Barter P&L: Track brand visibility received versus Paytm inventory consumed to ensure high ROI on all barter deals.
Marketplace & Distribution
- Aggregator Management: Drive Paytm Travel's visibility on ONDC, Google Bus/Trains, and emerging OTA aggregators.
- White-Label Distribution: Pitch and embed Paytm Travel's booking API into banking apps (HDFC PayZapp, SBI YONO) and neobanks.
- Corporate Reach: Develop alliances with corporate travel platforms like TravelPerk and Itilite to capture untapped business traveler segments.
Key Skills
- Industry Tenure: 59 years of total experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the online travel sector.
- Deal-making: A proven track record of independently closing non-paid co-marketing agreements and run-off programs.
- Technical Literacy: Conversant with API/SDK integration concepts and CRM co-marketing mechanics (post-payment nudges, loyalty cross-earn)
- Analytical Ability: Strong commercial modeling skills, including revenue share models and barter P&Ls.
