About the Role
Sciens Logistics is looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Air Freight Sales to lead our Air Freight business development initiatives. We are seeking professionals with a proven track record in Air Freight Sales, Freight Forwarding, and International Logistics, who possess strong commercial acumen, an established industry network, and the ability to drive profitable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve Air Freight revenue, gross profit, and business growth targets.
- Identify, acquire, and develop new business opportunities across international Air Freight and Freight Forwarding services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, importers, exporters, multinational companies, airlines, overseas agents, and key logistics partners.
- Lead customer meetings, commercial negotiations, RFQs, tenders, and contract discussions.
- Work closely with Pricing, Operations, Customer Service, and overseas offices to develop competitive and customer-focused logistics solutions.
- Monitor market trends, airline capacity, freight rates, trade lane developments, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
- Prepare competitive pricing strategies while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and business performance reports using CRM tools.
- Represent Sciens Logistics at customer meetings, networking events, and industry forums.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Air Freight Sales, Freight Forwarding, or International Logistics.
- Proven experience in business development, key account management, and revenue generation.
- Strong network with freight forwarders, airlines, overseas agents, importers, exporters, and logistics service providers.
- Sound knowledge of international air freight operations, cargo pricing, airline products, trade lanes, and market dynamics.
- Good understanding of Incoterms, IATA regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping practices.
- Experience in commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, RFQs, and customer contract management.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and CargoWise will be an added advantage.
