Role Overview

We are looking for a Storytelling & AI Research Specialist to join our research team and help evaluate, diagnose, and improve AI-assisted storytelling systems.This role is ideal for someone who can think like a writer and reason like an engineera screenwriter curious about AI, an engineer who deeply understands narrative structure, or a narrative designer fluent in LLM behavior. You will act as a critical bridge between storytelling judgment and AI system design, helping us understand where AI-generated narratives fail and whyand translating those insights into actionable improvements for our models and pipelines.

What You'll Do

• Review humanAI generated stories and identify narrative failures (plot gaps, weak characters, tonal drift, pacing issues).
• Diagnose why failures occur (context window limits, prompt design issues, trope overuse, memory drift).
• Translate creative critique into clear, actionable insights for AI researchers.
• Collaborate with researchers to improve AI pipelines, workflows, and storytelling tools.

What We're Looking For

• Strong narrative judgment using established storytelling frameworks.
• Professional screenwriting experience or formal screenwriting training.
• Exceptional attention to language, tone, and prose quality.
• Solid understanding of LLMs, their failure modes, and limitations.
• Ability to bridge creative feedback and technical analysis.
