Job Requirements

Procurement : 1. Work closely with Sales, Planning, Engineering & Quality to understand various requirements. 2. Sending enquiries to suitable suppliers, negotiate best prices and reduce cost. 3. Ensure zero loss of production due to any procurement related delays. 4. Devise procurement plans based on the requirements and available vendors. 5. Resolve Technical issues if any with suppliers 6. Payment follows up 7. Monitoring NCR's & back charge to suppliers. Vendor Management and Development : 8. Identify Suppliers, assess capability and empanel them depending on the volume of production. 9. Handle existing Suppliers by suggesting measures to upgrade their capability. 10. Work closely with Sales, planning to compare competitive rates in the market. 11. Ensure cost savings by effective negotiations with the suppliers. 12. Sign up annual rate contracts for Various Castings with Suppliers to save on cost. 13. Oversee loading patterns and on time delivery for critical items. 14. Ensure timely payments to suppliers.

Inventory Management : 15. Manage inventory in a cost effective manner to ensure delivery of finished products in the given timelines. 16. Ensure ready availability of materials to meet production targets and handle shortages. 17. Provide support for inventory control at Stores for slow, non-moving and obsolete material. 18. Ensure timely quality checks, minimal warehousing shortages and losses.

Quality : 19. As & when ,Conduct third party inspections at Supplier site before material is dispatched to the factory. 20. Handle material verification and further inspection at the Factory. 21. Co-ordinate with Quality to inspect work in progress and quality of final product. 22. Ensure quality control through QA Team.

Reporting : 23. Prepare and analyze reports on procurement and suggest cost saving measures. 24. Manage reports for inventory management, resource optimization and dispatch planning. 25. Always ensure proper documentation and procedure adherence.

Work Experience

  • Good knowledge of Steel Industrial Products.
  • Castings, Fabricated parts, Forgings, Brough out items.
  • Good negotiation skills, Customer Focus, Drive for Results, Taking Accountability.
  • Attention to Detail, Conflict Management Skills, Decision Making Skills, Interpersonal Skills.
  • Preferred Educational Qualifications : B.E./B.TECH. - Mechanical Engineering.
  • Work Experience: 10 - 15 Years.
