Job Description
Job Summary: The Senior Manager - Accounts will play a key leadership role within the Finance & Accounts function, responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, financial book closures, statutory compliance, audits, internal controls, and financial reporting across group entities.
The role requires strong accounting expertise, hands-on experience in financial operations and compliance, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing accounts team. The incumbent will also drive process improvements, automation, and standardisation across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations across group entities, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), billing, collections, vendor payments, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books of accounts across all group entities, ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation required for management reporting and audits.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial MIS, management reports, variance analysis, and business performance reports to enable informed decision-making.
- Establish, implement, and monitor robust internal controls and Internal Financial Controls (IFC) across finance processes.
- Coordinate with internal, statutory, and other auditors, provide required information and documentation, and ensure timely closure of audit observations and action items.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory and regulatory compliance, including Income Tax, GST, TDS, Companies Act, LLP Act, FEMA, and other applicable financial and corporate regulations.
- Oversee statutory filings, tax reconciliations, assessments, notices, and coordination with consultants and regulatory authorities, wherever required.
- Drive continuous improvement of Zoho ERP, including process automation, system enhancements, reporting improvements, and standardisation of finance processes.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes, improve controls, reduce manual interventions, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts team, establishing clear responsibilities, accountability, ethical practices, and a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and business teams to resolve accounting and financial matters and ensure smooth finance operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CA / CA Inter / B.Com with MBA in Finance.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably with experience handling multiple entities or group companies.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, LLP Act, and FEMA compliance.
- Experience with Zoho ERP/Zoho Books or similar accounting/ERP platforms is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial reporting, and MIS.
- Prior experience in leading and developing an Accounts team is essential.
