The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NLP, Deep Learning, LLMs, Generative AI, and hands-on LLM fine-tuning, along with experience working with open-source models and frameworks such as Hugging Face and PyTorch. LLM Fine-tuning experience is mandatory for this role.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced LLM/NLP Engineer to join our AI/ML team at the Associate Director level. This is a hands-on Individual Contributor role focused on developing, fine-tuning, and improving Large Language Models (LLMs) for domain-specific business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) for enterprise and domain-specific use cases.
• Perform LLM fine-tuning, supervised fine-tuning (SFT), and instruction tuning using relevant techniques.
• Work with open-source LLMs such as Llama, Mistral, Qwen, Gemma, or similar models.
• Develop NLP and Deep Learning solutions using Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Prepare, clean, and preprocess large datasets for model training and fine-tuning.
• Experiment with different models, architectures, datasets, and fine-tuning approaches to improve performance.
• Evaluate model quality and analyze results using appropriate metrics and methodologies.
• Work closely with domain experts to develop AI solutions that are accurate, relevant, and actionable.
• Explore techniques such as LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT, SFT, and RLHF where applicable.
• Identify and address model/data bias and follow responsible AI practices.
• Document experiments, methodologies, model performance, and technical approaches.
• Stay current with developments in LLMs, NLP, Generative AI, and open-source AI models.

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, Machine Learning, NLP, Data Science, or related areas.
• Hands-on experience in LLM Fine-tuning – Mandatory.
• Strong experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.
• Strong understanding of NLP and Deep Learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Hugging Face Transformers.
• Experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
• Experience working with Transformer-based models.
• Experience with model training, evaluation, experimentation, and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in BFSI, Banking, Lending, Mortgage, or Financial Services.(Preferred)

Important Note

This is a hands-on technical Individual Contributor role. Candidates should be comfortable working directly on LLM development, model fine-tuning, experimentation, and technical problem-solving rather than primarily focusing on people management or program management.

Candidates without hands-on LLM Fine-tuning experience will not be considered.
