Senior Linux Development Expert

Your Tasks

• Enhance and expand the existing Linux Workplace on Ubuntu to meet evolving user and company needs
• Design, develop, and configure new features for Linux client instances to address business or IT security requirements
• Ensure function, stability, and reliability of the Linux Workplace on various hardware types and virtual machines through quality assurance and testing
• Provide expert 2nd level Linux support for workplace users, leveraging existing IT service management processes
• Analyze and resolve integration issues with company infrastructure
• Oversee maintenance of Linux Workplace-specific infrastructure servers and software repositories

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in the field
• Linux Passion: Deep enthusiasm for Linux as a mindset and essential tool; passion for working with Linux and command line
• Advanced Linux Packaging and Administration: Proven expertise in packaging and administering GNU/Linux and Debian-based distributions, especially Ubuntu
• Software Development and Scripting: Strong background in software development and scripting with Bash, Python, and GNU utilities
• Efficient Linux Software Development: Skilled in managing Linux software development processes and GIT-based CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth workflows
• Linux Configuration Management: Knowledge and expertise in Linux configuration management solutions such as Salt-Stack, Ansible, or Puppet
