About The Role
You will act as a senior domain expert supporting AI-powered solutions that use life sciences and pharmaceutical data. The primary focus of this role is evaluating how scientific data is applied within AI systems and ensuring alignment with customer needs, product goals, and scientific expectations. You will work closely with product, data science, and engineering teams to shape evaluation approaches, define scientific use cases, and establish acceptance criteria. Through structured evaluation and scientific judgment, you will help ensure that our AI solutions reflect real-world scientific understanding.
Responsibilities
- Apply scientific expertise to design customer-focused success criteria for AI solutions
- Define AI evaluation scope and metrics using domain knowledge across drug discovery, development, and regulatory approval
- Work closely with data science teams to understand how AI systems access and use data
- Provide scientific guidance for prompt engineering supporting structured data retrieval and automated AI evaluations
- Conduct manual and automated scientific evaluations of AI outputs
- Translate evaluation findings into clear, documented recommendations for cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Strong academic background in life sciences (e.g. bioinformatics, cheminformatics, biochemistry, pharmacology)
- Experience evaluating or validating AI or algorithmic outputs using scientific data
- Experience applying scientific expertise in structured data or content environments (e.g. databases, taxonomies, or similar systems)
- Solid technical understanding (e.g. data flows, APIs, GitHub)
- Collaborative mindset and clear communication skills
