Our client, a well-established multinational organization, is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to support legal and compliance matters across the Asia Pacific region. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders while providing practical legal advice in a fast-paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
- Work closely with regional corporate function teams to provide commercially focused legal support.
- Advise on compliance matters, including trade sanctions, anti-bribery & corruption, and data privacy.
- Support regional corporate governance and legal compliance initiatives.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel where required.
- Partner with business development, tendering and project teams across the APAC region on legal matters.
- Conduct legal and compliance training for internal stakeholders.
- Provide legal support throughout the project lifecycle, including claims and dispute management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within a multinational or regional environment.
- Strong background in commercial contracts, project support and dispute management.
- Experience handling compliance matters such as trade sanctions, anti-bribery & corruption and data privacy.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
