Senior Legal Counsel

Hiring: Senior Legal Counsel | Vadodara

We are currently retained by a leading global industrial and engineering group with operations across multiple countries and a strong presence in construction equipment, engineering solutions, manufacturing, energy, and large-scale project businesses.

This is a high-visibility legal leadership role supporting the India business and partnering closely with global stakeholders on project execution, commercial transactions, corporate governance, compliance, and strategic legal matters.

Location: Vadodara

Key Responsibilities:

▪ Support the full project lifecycle, including tender review, contract negotiations, project execution, claims management, and dispute avoidance.

▪ Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements including EPC/EPCM contracts, supply agreements, service agreements, NDAs, consortium arrangements, joint venture agreements, and other commercial contracts.

▪ Advise business teams on contractual risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

▪ Manage corporate governance and secretarial matters for Indian entities, including statutory compliance, board and shareholder matters, and regulatory filings.

▪ Lead compliance initiatives, policy implementation, training programs, and support the enhancement of compliance management systems.

▪ Advise on a wide range of legal matters including commercial, employment, regulatory, real estate, data privacy, and general corporate issues.

▪ Coordinate with external counsel on litigation, disputes, investigations, and specialized legal matters.

Candidate Profile:

✔ LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized institution.

✔ 7+ years of post-qualification experience.

✔ Prior experience with industrial, engineering, EPC, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, technology, or project-driven businesses.

✔ Strong exposure to commercial contracting and project-related legal support.

✔ Experience handling corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.

✔ Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional and global stakeholders.

✔ Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
