Senior Legal Counsel, Global Markets, MNC Bank

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with strong experience in derivatives and structured products to join a leading global financial institution. This is a high-impact role supporting complex markets across multiple jurisdictions. The position is based in Singapore, though candidates in Dubai or London will also be considered.

You'll be advising on a broad range of derivatives and structured products matters, navigating multi-market regulatory regimes, and supporting transactional work spanning financial instruments, cross-border issues, and market infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal support on derivatives and structured products matters, including ISDA/CSA documentation and related transactional work
• Advise the business on financial markets regulations
• Navigate cross-border issues such as margining requirements and netting recognition
• Offer commercial, risk-based advice to stakeholders in fast-moving market situations

Experience that would be highly desirable:

• Repo and securities lending transactions (GMRA/GMSLA)
• Prime brokerage arrangements
• Structured notes / MTN programmes
• Securitisation and related capital markets structures

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ PQE with strong grounding in derivatives and/or structured products
• Broad exposure to transactional and advisory work in financial markets
• Experience gained in an in-house markets team or via secondment to a financial institution is a strong advantage
• Excellent understanding of trading models, settlement cycles, collateral arrangements, and market infrastructure
• Strong judgment, decisiveness, and the ability to manage complex issues under time pressure
