Job Description:

The Senior Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the field of Microbiology. The candidate should be able to deliver high-quality lectures and laboratory classes to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The successful candidate should also have a strong research background with the ability to secure grants and produce high-impact publications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver high-quality lectures and laboratory classes in Microbiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that foster student engagement and active learning.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their learning and development.
• Conduct research in the field of Microbiology, secure grants, and produce high-impact publications.
• Participate in departmental and institutional committees to support the growth and development of the institution.
• Engage in community outreach activities to promote awareness and understanding of the field of Microbiology.

Qualifications:

• Post graduate degree(M.D.S)in Microbiology or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching and research experience in Microbiology.
• Proven track record of securing grants and producing high-impact publications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental and institutional goals.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and research.
