Ralph Lauren Corporation is seeking a Senior Manager, Leases and Fixed Assets to lead lease accounting, lease administration, accounting, fixed asset accounting, close governance, controls, reporting, and process improvement activities for a global finance environment. This role will serve as a key liaison across Finance, Real Estate, Legal, FP&A, Capital Management, Lease Administration, Procurement, and internal/external audit teams to ensure accurate accounting, strong compliance, timely reporting, and scalable service delivery.
This role requires a strong technical accounting foundation, practical experience in lease and fixed asset processes, and the ability to manage operational delivery in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will combine accounting expertise, control mindset, stakeholder management, and transformation focus to support the evolving global structure, including ERP+, CoStar, SAP/S4HANA, and shared services ways of working.

Lease Accounting and Administration
- Lead-end, quarter-end, and year-end close responsibilities for lease accounting, including review of lease-related journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, amortization schedules, and reporting deliverables.
- Review and analyze lease agreements, amendments, renewals, terminations, and related activities to ensure accurate accounting treatment and complete lease records.
- Ensure compliance with lease accounting requirements, including ASC 842 / IFRS 16 principles, internal accounting policies, SOX controls, and audit requirements.
- Oversee creation, maintenance, and review of lease amortization schedules and lease master data in CoStar or equivalent lease administration tools.
- Monitor critical lease dates, payment schedules, escalation clauses, certified sales statement requirements, variable rent arrangements, and other lease obligations in partnership with Real Estate, Legal, and Lease Administration teams.
Fixed Assets Accounting
- Lead fixed asset accounting activities for corporate, retail, wholesale, and other business locations, including asset capitalization, transfers, retirements, disposals, depreciation, and impairment-related support.
- Oversee creation and maintenance of assets in the fixed asset register and ensure alignment with supporting documentation, capital project approvals, and accounting policy requirements.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset close activities, including reconciliations, roll-forwards, variance analysis, and reporting submissions.
- Partnering with Capital Management, FP&A, Real Estate, Procurement, and business teams to ensure accurate asset tracking, capital spend reporting, and timely resolution of open items.
Controls, Compliance and Audit
- Maintain a strong internal control environment over leases and fixed assets, including segregation of duties, approval workflows, account reconciliations, documentation standards, and evidence retention.
- Support SOX compliance, internal audit requests, external audit reviews, and quarterly/year-end audit procedures with timely, complete, and accurate documentation.
- Identify control gaps, process risks, and recurring issues; drive corrective actions and sustainable improvements.
- Ensure accounting outputs are aligned with corporate accounting policy, financial reporting requirements, and regional statutory considerations where applicable.
Operational Excellence and Transformation
- Drive standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement across lease and fixed asset processes in a shared services/global delivery model.
- Support ERP+, S/4HANA, CoStar, and reporting transformation activities by providing process knowledge, testing support, data validation, and business readiness inputs.
- Develop process documentation, desktop procedures, control checklists, and knowledge transfer materials to improve consistency and resilience.
- Use data and reporting tools to identify trends, exceptions, aging items, and improvement opportunities across lease and fixed asset operations.
People Leadership and Stakeholder Management
- Lead, coach, and develop team members supporting lease accounting, lease payable/administration activities, and fixed asset accounting.
- Set clear goals, service expectations, close calendars, review standards, and performance measures for the team.
- Build strong working relationships with global and regional stakeholders, including Corporate Controller's Group, Regional Controllers, FP&A, Real Estate, Legal, Capital Management, Procurement, IT, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
- Act as an escalation point for complex lease and fixed asset matters, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators
- Timely and accurate completion of lease and fixed asset month-end close activities.
- Quality of reconciliations, journal entries, schedules, and reporting submissions.
- Reduction in aged open items, audit findings, reconciliation breaks, and process exceptions.
- Compliance with SOX controls, accounting policies, and audit documentation requirements.
- Improvement in standardization of processes, automation, cycle time, and stakeholder service experience.
- Successful support of ERP+, CoStar, and process transformation milestone.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CA, CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, finance operations, shared services, or audit, with meaningful exposure to leases and fixed assets.
- Strong understanding of lease accounting concepts, fixed asset lifecycle accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, SOX controls, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with SAP or S/4HANA, CoStar or other lease administration systems, fixed asset modules/registers, Hyperion/Essbase, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing teams, reviewing accounting deliverables, partnering with global stakeholders, and supporting audit requirements.
