We are hiring for the below coaching roles: 

• Learning coach, (3.6 LPA + ESOPs)
• Senior learning coach, (6.5 - 7.5 LPA + ESOPs)
• Lead learning coach (8 - 9.5 LPA + ESOPs)

Employment type: Full time

Location: Work from home or anywhere in the world.

Work Week: 9 am - 5 pm, 6 days (Mon - Sat)

StayQrious is a YCombinator company re-engineering education to make it more relevant to the real-world. It was founded by Aanand Srinivas, former learning head of Khan Academy, in collaboration with Dr. Brian Johnsrud, founder of Stanford's learning science lab.

StayQrious Neoschool is a full-fledged virtual school built to replace conventional schools. It is a model built on the first principles of learning science and behavioural economics. Students work remotely with their peers and coach for 4 hours a day, and meet physically once every few months.

What's core and common to all Coach roles

At StayQrious, we're turning the traditional classroom upside down. Our curriculum is project-based, and all concepts are introduced through real-world projects, eg- students making a plan for Human survival on Mars and through this they learn about atoms and molecules.

This would require you to create exceptional lesson plans inline with PBL pedagogy.

Just kidding!! Lesson plans are centrally designed by our curriculum team, so you can focus on improving the student's experience. 

So what do you do as a Coach

You are assigned a batch of 30 kids whom you have to lecture just enough to make them score >60% but definitely lose 100% of their innate curiosity.

Well actually, you would be coaching a batch of 8 kids, and you don't deliver lectures—you facilitate the learning activities recommended in the lesson plan, in a way that is engaging for all kids and also each child actually learns through them.

A SQ coach is Someone with:

• Surprise surprise! Expertise in facilitating activities for small groups of students.
• Experience in teaching kids outside the traditional classroom setting, like finance, SEL, scientific thinking, etc. where you've inspired and engaged young minds.
• A quirky and playful personality around kids; they feel comfortable asking silly questions, cracking jokes, and seeing you as a friend.
• Impeccable English communication skills to engage our global student base.
• A growth mindset—you love learning new things and will thrive in our constantly evolving environment.
• Patience and empathy—you understand kids, even on their challenging days.
• Strong computer skills (Docs, Sheets, ChatGPT).
• A passion for teaching and making a real impact.
• People with Karaoke/Improv skills, skip ahead to the last interview round!....JK!

What's unique about each coach role

Learning coach

1. You are a senior learning coach in training, so you have similar responsibilities and similar training as the senior learning coach.

Senior learning coach:

1. Your responsibilities will include facilitating sessions on interdisciplinary projects of Maths, Science, SEL, etc. 
2. 1:1 meetings with students where you help them set and achieve academic and personal goals. 
3. You also keep parents in the loop about their child's progress and collaborate with our team to keep innovating our approach. 
4. And you are responsible for the training of learning coaches.

Lead learning coach:

1. You are an experienced expert at all the responsibilities of a senior learning coach and you have similar responsibilities.
