Job Description

Position Specific duties : As a member of Global SQL Server Database Team, you will be responsible for
Providing technical leadership in new cloud technology adoption based on Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes and Terraform
Developing automations and continuous improvement projects
Providing SQL Server Database Administration functions in cloud environment.
Maintaining high availability and Keeping the platform stable by following the processes and suggesting improvement by analyzing opportunities.
Performing root cause analysis for problems and Incidents.
Ensure availability, stability and integrity of database systems
Providing oncall support in defined time window on a rotational basis
Performs as a team member on an Agile team
Required skill : Hands on experience in Kubernetes, DevOps, Microsoft Azure, PowerShell, Github and T-SQL
Good analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues
Demonstrated passion for technical learning and implementing ideas leading to Automations and process improvements
Good Communication Skills
Desired Experience : 12 Years of experience in Information Technology
Strong experience in Kubernetes, Github , DevOps, PowerShell and in Azure cloud administration
Experience in Terraform or Ansible will be an added advantage
Experience working in a team environment and supporting team members
Demonstrated passion for technical learning and identifying areas for Innovation and Automation
Education : Degree in Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. University Degree (4 years or equivalent) e.g. B.E. / MCA or equivalent
Certification in SQL Server Database Administration
