Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering, with 14+ years of applied experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
- Experience in Python API development.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including individual contributor roles focused on cloud-native solutions.
- Expertise in SaaS platform engineering.
- Experience working with AI tools, specifically for roles based in Hyderabad.
- MCP development experience.
- Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with expertise in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality challenges with minimal oversight.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Practical experience in Databricks administration and pipeline development, with hands-on individual contributor responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Terraform, with at least 10 years of experience.
