As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity Tech Controls team you are an integral part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technology domains.

Job responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
• Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on Security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Proficient in AI/ML techniques and skilled in advanced analytics.
• Implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Developing predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and Java.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, GCP).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Java, Kubernetes and AWS certification is a plus.
• Experienced with modern frontend frameworks and libraries like React is a plus
• Experienced in writing unit tests in Java and React JS for complex enterprise environments
• Database skills preferably with Oracle DynamoDB and experience in tuning database queries, processing large amount of data will be great addition.
