About The Role
We are looking for a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, managing, and securing enterprise network environments. This role is critical in ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of our network infrastructure supporting global business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Centre network environments.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related network components.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement and support network security solutions, including VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Troubleshoot network issues and ensure high availability and performance.
- Manage IP addressing, subnetting, network segmentation, and routing policies.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network incidents.
- Drive network optimization, capacity planning, and scalability initiatives.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, and DevOps teams on integration projects.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and industry best practices.
- Strong understanding of Networking Fundamentals (OSI, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with Routing Protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Hands-on expertise in Switching Technologies including VLANs, STP, and Trunking.
- Excellent understanding of Cisco ACI architecture with hands-on experience.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Aruba Switches, Wireless Controllers, and Access Points (APs).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE for Network Access Control (NAC), 802.1X Authentication, TACACS+, RADIUS, Guest Access, Device Profiling, Posture Assessment, and Policy-Based Access Control.
- Hands on experience with IOS/SUP upgradation 5K/7K/9K/4500/6500/ASR/FTD/FMC/SDWAN/ISE/DNAC/Wireless controller
- Experience with designing, deploying, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, Ether-channel, IP Routing Protocols - (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP & BGP), ACL's, NAT, VLAN, STP, VTP, HSRP.
- Knowledge of WAN technologies, including MPLS and SD-WAN.
- Hands-on experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Grafana.
- Understanding of Cloud Networking concepts across Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python or PowerShell) is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- CCNA / CCNP Must
- Firewall Certifications (optional)
- Cloud Certifications (optional)
- CompTIA Network+ (optional)
- 10-12 years of experience in Network Engineering or Infrastructure Operations.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale network environments.
- Exposure to 24x7 production support operations is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Strong documentation and process-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving mindset with architecturelevel thinking
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Proven leadership during highseverity incidents and transformation initiatives
- Ability to work independently while influencing crossfunctional teams
Nice to Have
- Exposure to automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Cisco DNA Center) is a plus
- Exposure to DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Thousand Eyes.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
