About The Role
We are seeking a talented
Embedded Software Engineer to join our Traffic Surveillance Systems team. In this role, you will contribute to the development, integration, verification, and certification of advanced avionics surveillance products, including technologies such as ADS-B, TCAS, and Transponders.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across systems, software, hardware, verification, and certification disciplines to develop high-performance embedded solutions that support next-generation aerospace platforms.
Core Responsibilities
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for Traffic Surveillance products.
- Develop common engineering tools and automation frameworks to support software development and verification activities.
- Execute unit, integration, and system-level testing for embedded avionics software.
- Support the development and verification of DAL-B compliant airborne software.
- Participate in requirements reviews, software design reviews, code inspections, and peer review activities.
- Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and verification teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
- Support certification activities, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams.
- Troubleshoot software build, integration, and deployment issues.
- Analyze software defects, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Travel Requirements
- Up to 10% travel may be required to support customer engagements, program reviews, testing activities, or certification efforts.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based engineering environment.
- Ability to work with development systems, laboratory equipment, and software engineering tools for extended periods.
Language Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation and communicate effectively with global engineering teams.

- Successfully contribute to the delivery of embedded software releases for Traffic Surveillance programs.

Qualifications You Must Have
Education, Experience, Skills & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
- 4–9 years of embedded software development experience.
- Strong programming experience in C++ and Python.
- Experience developing software on VxWorks/Wind River operating systems.
- Experience across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, coding, integration, testing, and verification.
- Experience with hardware-software integration and board-level debugging.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Visual Studio, and software development tools.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Required Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required government security clearance, if applicable.
Required Immigration Status
- Must be authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employer sponsorship.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience developing airborne software in accordance with RTCA DO-178B/C guidelines.
- Knowledge of avionics architectures within CNS, FMS, Flight Controls, or Display Systems.
- Familiarity with Traffic Surveillance products including ADS-B, TCAS, and Transponders.
- Experience with avionics requirements analysis, traceability, and verification activities.
- Knowledge of avionics communication protocols such as ARINC 429, ARINC 653, AFDX, CAN, and TCP/IP.
