Senior Lead Engineer

Job Overview

The Senior Lead Engineer- Services / Dev Lead (for Custom Policy) will be responsible for designing and providing solutions for policy applications. Custom Policy lead engineer should have a good understanding about the web services, java and web application to create/customize the application.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement discussions and contribute to the designing of the solution.
• Understanding the Majesco policy core systems and providing solutions in accordance with the customer requirement.
• Design the configuration changes needed for developing the functionality.
• Design and development of restful web services, clients for third party services, design of staging tables in compliance with coding standards.
• Strong Java Knowledge.
• Design of UI reports and screen using xml, xslt and XQuery.
• Should have knowledge about API, JSON file data transfer.
• Performance tuning and monitoring the application through available tools and supporting the application benchmarking activities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make sound recommendations.
• Ability to debug the application using debug panel or other debugger techniques in Majesco products.
• Addressing the stories, defects and Change requests and working closely with SA, BA and Testing team to implementing the requirements.
• Delivery of work estimates for proposed changes, both small and large in scope
• Driving the end to end delivery of the functionality until production release
• Ensuring the processes and best practices are followed throughout the project
• Review unit and integration testing scope for business requirements.
• Impact analysis of the changes to be made.
• Should have worked on SAFeAgile delivery model.
• Grooming the other team members
• Code management and release activities.

Skills & Knowledge Technical

Essential skills

• Conceptual understanding of Object Oriented Programming.
• Basic database queries, DML and DDL.
• Good Programming experience on Java
• Good experience on web application and server.
• Should be well versed with postman, Sonar, Maven and SVN.

Desirable skills

• Experience of working on UI designs and integration using platform/tool will be an added advantage.
• Experience on working with configuration driven tools/platforms/framework would be added advantage.
