Job Purpose

We are looking for experienced Senior / Lead Designers with strong hands-on experience in Unigraphics NX (Siemens NX) for mechanical design, 3D modelling and drafting activities. The role will involve developing design and fabrication plans, installation sketches and related design deliverables in accordance with project requirements, engineering standards, quality requirements and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and review 3D models, fabrication drawings and design deliverables using Unigraphics NX / Siemens NX.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings in accordance with applicable drawing and design standards.
Ensure design deliverables meet client requirements, project quality standards and applicable processes.
Work on complex mechanical design and modelling assignments.
Review, consolidate and coordinate design activities within projects.
Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles in engineering drawings.
Work on Subsea Structures, Oil & Gas Structures and/or Hydraulic Tubing related design activities.
For relevant projects, work on hydraulic tubing, tube bending and installation design.
Identify and communicate risks associated with design activities.
Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, inspection and other project teams as required.
Ensure designs are delivered within defined project schedules and allocated man-hours.
Support continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Senior/Lead-level candidates should be capable of supervising designers, prioritising work and providing technical guidance.
Support technical consolidation and resolve design-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5–10 years of experience in mechanical design, 3D modelling and drafting.
Strong hands-on experience with Unigraphics NX / Siemens NX.
Experience with NX12 or NX 2007 is preferred.
Strong knowledge of 3D Modelling and Drafting.
Good understanding of GD&T.
Experience in any of the following domains will be preferred:
Subsea Structures
Oil & Gas Structures
Hydraulic Tubing
Hydraulic Tube Bending & Installation
Knowledge of welding and API standards will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, design and manufacturing standards.
Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to coordinate/supervise design teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Senior Designer – 5–7 Years

Candidates should have strong hands-on NX modelling and drafting experience, with exposure to mechanical design, GD&T and preferably Subsea/Oil & Gas structures or Hydraulic Tubing.

Lead Designer II – 7–10 Years

Candidates should additionally have experience in team supervision, design coordination, work allocation/prioritisation, technical consolidation and project management, along with strong hands-on NX design expertise.
