About the Role
We're looking for a senior Business Development lead to drive Krea8's growth: opening doors, closing deals, and building long-term client relationships at the brand and agency level.
You'll be the front of the house. You'll own the pipeline, run the conversations that turn into briefs, and partner with the founders and creative team on pitches and proposals. You won't be selling cold — you'll be selling craft, conviction, and a model the market is actually hungry for.
This isn't a junior or generalist sales role. We need someone who has lived inside a creative agency, sold creative solutions across formats, and built the kind of network that picks up the phone when you call.
What You'll Do
Pipeline & New Business
- Own the new business pipeline end-to-end — prospecting, outreach, qualification, pitch, and close
- Build and nurture relationships with brand-side decision-makers (CMOs, marketing heads, brand managers, content/social leads, comms heads)
- Identify and pursue opportunities across our service lines: TVCs/DVCs, branded content, influencer marketing, IPs and shows, sponsorships, social-first content, video production, and integrated campaigns
- Maintain a clean, prioritized pipeline — you should know what's hot, warm, and stuck, and why
Pitching & Closing
- Lead pitch conversations from first meeting to scope, proposal, and close
- Work with founders, strategy, and creative leads to build winning pitches and proposals
- Own commercials w.r.t. scopes, estimates, retainer math, negotiation, and contracting
- Close deals at terms that protect both client outcomes and agency margins
Account Growth
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing clients — new categories, new scopes, new brands within the same group
- Work with the servicing team to ensure first impressions translate into long-term retainers
- Build case studies, credentials decks, and category-specific pitches that fuel future business
Market & Brand
- Be a visible representative of Krea8 in the market — events, network forums, industry conversations
- Track competitive moves, category trends, and where the budgets are flowing
- Partner with the founders on go-to-market strategy and category prioritization
Team & Process
- Build the BD function as we scale — process, tools, CRM, reporting
- Mentor junior BD or AM team members on selling, scoping, and pitching
- Bring rigor to forecasting and reporting without bureaucracy
What We're Looking For
- 4–6 years of business development / sales experience at a creative, content, digital, influencer, or integrated agency (non-negotiable)
- A demonstrable track record of selling creative solutions — TVCs/DVCs, branded content, influencer marketing, IPs and shows, sponsorships, video production, social-first content, integrated campaigns
- Strong existing network of brand-side decision-makers — CMOs, marketing leads, brand managers, content/social heads — that you can credibly tap into from day one
- Clear ability to move a relationship from let's catch up to a signed scope
- Sharp commercial sense — pricing, scoping, retainer structures, margin protection, negotiation
- Strong written and verbal communication — pitch decks, proposals, meeting rooms, follow-ups
- Confidence to lead a room of senior client-side stakeholders without the founders in it
- A collaborative instinct — BD that's in sync with creative and servicing, not running solo
- Strong understanding of campaign workflows — creative, social, production, influencer, on-ground
- Proven ability to juggle multiple clients and projects without losing the thread
- A bias for action. You push the work forward, not paper around it
