Job Title: Analog Layout Engineer
Experience: 3+ Years
Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad
Notice Period: Immediate to 90 Days Preferred
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled Analog Layout Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in full-custom analog and mixed-signal layout design. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in advanced node technologies and a deep understanding of layout techniques for high-performance and low-power designs. Experience in lower technology nodes (≤7nm) will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop full-custom analog and mixed-signal layouts (e.g., amplifiers, LDOs, PLLs, ADC/DAC, bandgap, IOs).
- Perform floor planning, device placement, routing, and layout optimization for performance, area, and power.
- Ensure layouts are compliant with DRC, LVS, ERC, and antenna rules.
- Work closely with circuit designers to understand design intent and translate schematics into robust layouts.
- Perform parasitic extraction (PEX) and assist in post-layout simulations.
- Implement matching techniques (common-centroid, interdigitated layouts, etc.) for precision circuits.
- Handle ESD and latch-up considerations in layout.
- Debug and resolve layout vs schematic mismatches and physical verification issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, verification, and process teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality layout blocks.
Required Skills:- Strong experience in analog/mixed-signal layout design.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre (DRC/LVS/PEX).
- Solid understanding of:
- Device physics and analog circuit fundamentals
- Matching, symmetry, shielding, and noise reduction techniques
- Layout-dependent effects (LDE)
- Experience in deep submicron technologies (28nm and below preferred).
- Familiarity with physical verification flows.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
Preferred / Good to Have:- Experience in advanced nodes (≤7nm) is a strong plus.
- Exposure to FinFET technologies.
- Knowledge of EM/IR analysis and reliability checks.
- Experience working with high-speed or RF layouts.
- Understanding of low-power design techniques.
- Scripting knowledge (Skill/Python) is an added advantage.
