Senior Kubernetes/OpenShift Engineer (Immediate joiner with short NP within 30 days)

As a Kubernetes Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting and evolving our cloud infrastructure. You'll help design, implement, and maintain scalable OpenShift and Kubernetes environments, working closely with development teams and stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and cost-effective solutions. Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable OpenShift/Kubernetes infrastructure

- Optimize cluster performance, resource usage, and cost-effectiveness

- Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and deploy them efficiently

- Develop and enhance terraform patterns for OpenShift/Kubernetes deployments

- Manage and maintain Zurich container platforms including provision of expert support for OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms, ensuring high availability and performance

- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for container platforms

- Ensure security by applying best practices and implementing necessary controls

- Automate deployment and management using infrastructure as code tools

- Stay up to date with ecosystem developments and propose improvements

- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and existing systems

- Create technical documentation and define solutions

- Collaborate with teammates to evolve the platform and ensure service excellence

- Continuously learn about new technologies and apply innovative concepts

- Work in Agile mode to develop the environment and meet stakeholder needs

Mandatory Skills Description:

- 5+ years experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes, Docker (OpenShift preferred)

- 5+ years experience in software engineering or systems engineering (professional/academic)

- 3+ years experience Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably Terraform

- 3+ years programming/scripting experience (Bash, Python, JSON, YAML)

- 3+ years UNIX/Linux OS and CLI administration

- 3+ years Windows OS, MS-DOS, and/or PowerShell scripting

- 3+ years experience with version control systems (Git preferred)

- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences

- Comfortable working in a dynamic, agile environment with strong time management
