Role Description The Senior Jewellery Designer will lead the conceptualization and creation of new jewelry collections, from initial sketches to final production-ready designs. This full-time, on-site role is based in Borivali and involves close collaboration with the production team to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with brand standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching trends, sourcing inspiration, developing design concepts, preparing technical drawings, and selecting materials and finishes. The designer will oversee junior designers, review prototypes, provide design feedback, and maintain consistency across collections. The role also includes working with merchandising and marketing teams to align designs with customer preferences, pricing strategies, and seasonal launches.

Qualifications

• Strong jewellery design skills, including hand sketching and digital design using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD software.
• Experience in concept development, trend research, and translating market insights into commercially viable collections.
• Knowledge of gemstones, metals, manufacturing processes, and finishing techniques relevant to fine and fashion jewelry.
• Ability to prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for artisans and manufacturers.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring or supervising junior designers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sense, and the ability to balance creativity with practical production constraints.
• Prior experience in a jewellery design role, preferably at a senior level; portfolio showcasing diverse design work is required.
• Diploma or degree in Jewellery Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred.
• Effective communication and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines on-site in Borivali.
