Job Description

You will be working on a complex and industry-leading payment product. Towards that, we are looking for seasoned software engineers, with a penchant for systems thinking, who love to ideate, experiment, tinker, design, and harness tech to build stuff that users love. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Java Software Engineer at Pivotrics in Bengaluru. As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing complex product features for a payment system. This will involve creating and maintaining features for a complex payment system developed using Java. You will be required to understand the given requirement, perform high-level gap analysis, propose solutions to senior architects, and deliver a high-quality product that will enhance customer experience. You will also contribute to design discussions, troubleshoot technical issues, and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in product and implementation design.
  • Take full ownership of product modules.
  • Ensure to deliver a functionally complete product of good quality.
  • Be a good team player and contribute to creating a good work culture.
  • Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, dependency & risk management.
  • Implement the dev process in a genuine spirit, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Ideate, suggest to tech folks, and also to engineering/business management.
  • Deepen tech & domain knowledge to contribute to product IP.
  • Enjoy the process of creating a product.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Software Design, Development, and Programming.
  • Excellent grasp of OOPs, Component Technology, and Design Patterns.
  • Fluent in programming with Java on the Unix platform with any industry-standard database.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Good understanding of software design principles and patterns.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
