Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain reliable backend systems.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, databases, API development, and production troubleshooting. The candidate will take ownership of important backend modules and work closely with product, engineering, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build secure, scalable, and reliable REST APIs.
- Develop and improve business-critical backend workflows.
- Work on real-time and high-volume data-processing systems.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Identify and resolve production issues through structured root-cause analysis.
- Optimise database queries, indexes, and data-access patterns.
- Work with multithreading, asynchronous processing, scheduled jobs, and background services.
- Integrate backend applications with internal systems and third-party services.
- Review existing code and safely improve legacy modules.
- Participate in technical design discussions and architecture decisions.
- Conduct code reviews and support junior and mid-level developers.
- Write technical documentation for important modules, APIs, and workflows.
- Collaborate with mobile, web, QA, product, support, operations, and infrastructure teams.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Java.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Strong SQL and database query-optimisation skills.
- Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience working with production applications.
- Good understanding of application performance and debugging.
- Experience with Git and Maven or Gradle.
- Familiarity with Linux-based environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership of assigned modules and projects.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Understanding of distributed systems and scalable application architecture.
- Experience with caching and messaging technologies such as Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of load balancing, reverse proxies, and application deployment.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, socket programming, or network-based applications.
- Previous experience in GPS tracking, IoT, telematics, mobility, logistics, or connected-device platforms.
- Experience working with large datasets and high-traffic applications.

Compensation
CTC: Up to ₹18 LPA
The final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, technical expertise, current compensation, and interview performance.
