Role:
We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance financial applications. The role involves building cloud-native backend systems on Microsoft Azure using Microservices architecture and event-driven technologies like Kafka. The ideal candidate will work closely with Architects, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver compliant, resilient, and production-ready solutions for enterprise financial platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure backend systems for financial applications.
- Develop cloud-native Microservices on Microsoft Azure.
- Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka for real-time data processing.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and fault tolerance of applications.
- Collaborate with architects to define technical design and system architecture.
- Work closely with QA teams for testability, automation, and quality assurance.
- Partner with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments.
- Write clean, reusable, well-documented, and testable code.
- Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with financial industry standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in backend development for enterprise or financial applications.
- Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture.
- Solid experience working on Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, etc.).
- Experience with Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Understanding of cloud security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Experience with performance optimization and scalability design.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Good exposure to databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
- Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (App Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Experience with system design for high-throughput, low-latency applications.
