Description:
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with strong experience in US Life Insurance and Annuities. The candidate should have hands-on development expertise in policy administration or insurance platforms, with the ability to build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java / Spring Boot applications supporting insurance business processes such as policy administration, underwriting, billing, and claims.
- Work closely with product, business, and QA teams to deliver quality software aligned with business needs.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs, batch jobs, and backend services.
- Participate in Agile/POD-based delivery, code reviews, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 58 years of hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Strong understanding of US insurance domain concepts, particularly Life Insurance, Annuities, and Policy Administration Systems (PAS).
- Experience working on or integrating with insurance products/systems used in the US market.
- Good understanding of SDLC, microservices architecture, and RESTful API development.
- Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing complex SQL queries.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Jenkins, etc.
Good to Have:
- Experience in front-end technologies (Angular, React).
- Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Basic knowledge of automation frameworks or DevOps tools.
