Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram for a Senior Java Microservices Architect / Lead Engineer. The role involves leading the design and implementation of Java-based microservices architectures, defining technical standards, and guiding the engineering team in best practices. The individual will collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include hands-on development, code reviews, architectural documentation, performance optimization, and mentoring engineers. The role also requires close coordination with DevOps, QA, and security teams to ensure reliable delivery and maintenance of enterprise-grade applications.
Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in enterprise-grade Software Development with Java, including hands-on coding, debugging, and optimization.
  • Deep understanding of Microservices and Architecture, including distributed systems, service orchestration, scalability, and resilience.
  • Experience with Jakarta EE and related enterprise frameworks, including RESTful services and integration patterns.
  • Applied knowledge of Design Patterns and best practices for clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Experience leading engineering teams, providing technical mentorship, and making architectural decisions for complex projects.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containers (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), automated testing, and observability tools for microservices environments.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
