About the Role:
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Senior Java Developers to join our backend development team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance enterprise applications using Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture. You will work closely with frontend developers, testers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to deliver reliable and efficient software solutions particularly in the healthcare domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of developers to design and implement microservices using Spring Boot.
- Participate in the migration of applications from Spring Boot 2.x to 3.x.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented Java code.
- Develop and execute unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and manage asynchronous processing.
- Optimize application performance, conduct load testing, and ensure robust error handling.
- Work with MySQL databases (cloud-hosted or on-premise).
- Contribute to Docker-based development and deployment processes.
- Collaborate in Agile development cycles (sprints, standups, retrospectives).
- Maintain code versioning using Git and participate in code reviews.
- Engage in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java 8, Spring Boot (2.x and 3.x), and microservices architecture.
- Experience writing unit tests with JUnit, Mockito, etc.
- Proficient with MySQL (cloud and on-premise).
- Working experience with RESTful API integration and error handling.
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker.
- Strong understanding of Git-based workflows and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred/Good to Have:
- Experience working in or knowledge of the healthcare domain.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot 3.x migration.
- Exposure to AWS cloud services and its components.
- Familiarity with load testing tools and performance tuning.
