The Role

As a Backend Developer, you'll scale and enhance our digital healthcare platform. You'll build robust services that power our app and help millions monitor skin changes.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs

Work with large datasets (skin images, user behavior, clinical data) with secure and efficient handling

Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, medical experts, and engineers to integrate advanced algorithms

Improve diagnostic capabilities and overall app performance

Ensure application performance, reliability, security, and data protection

Translate business needs into technical specifications and deliver end-to-end solutions

Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle and take ownership from ideation to production

What You Bring (Essential)

46 years of professional backend development experience

Strong expertise in Java and the Spring framework

Proficiency with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Experience designing and operating scalable backend systems

Proven ownership, accountability, and excellent communication/problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

Experience with data analytics and large datasets

Frontend exposure with modern JavaScript frameworks

Familiarity with AWS services and cloud architectures

Knowledge of Python or Ruby on Rails

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Proven backend experience with a focus on Java + Spring
