Senior Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

. Design, develop and maintain enterprise integration solutions using Apache Camel and Spring Boot.
. Build and deploy Camel routes and Spring Boot microservices across REST, SOAP, JMS, Kafka, AMQP, SFTP and database integrations.
. Develop message routing, transformation, enrichment, validation and error-handling solutions.
. Optimise application performance, reliability and scalability, including monitoring, logging and health checks.
. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
. Provide 2nd/3rd-line production support, troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
. Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Engineers and Infrastructure teams.
. Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews and contribute to development best practices.

SKILLS NEEDED

. 10+ years of experience in technology, with hands-on development and production support experience.
. Strong hands-on experience with Apache Camel and Spring Boot.
. Strong knowledge of Spring Cloud, Spring Data and Spring Security.
. Experience with Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, REST/SOAP, JSON, XML and XSLT.
. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
. Strong experience with JUnit, Testcontainers and integration testing.
. Good understanding of microservices, DDD, Agile/Scrum, DevOps and SRE principles.
. Experience in incident/problem management, performance tuning and production support.
. Experience with infrastructure migrations, DB/server migrations and version upgrades is an advantage.
. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
