Key Responsibilities

·      Lead the design and development of enterprise-scale backend platforms and payment processing systems.

·      Define architecture standards, coding practices, and technical roadmaps.

·      Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure microservices-based solutions.

·      Drive system performance optimization, reliability improvements, and technology modernization initiatives.

·      Mentor development teams through code reviews, technical guidance, and architectural governance.

·      Collaborate with Product, Business, Security, Infrastructure, and Leadership teams to deliver strategic initiatives.

·      Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives.

·      Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements relevant to financial systems.

Desired profile of the candidate

·       Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security and other modern java stack technologies

·       Relational databases like Oracle/PostgreSQL/MYSQL and any NoSQL database

·       Must have experience with REST and XML/JSON/Protobuf

·       Strong technical knowledge on various streaming frameworks like Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Storm and caching solutions like Memcache/Redis etc

·       Industry API tooling such as Postman, Castlemock, Apigee, Swagger etc

·       Hands-on experience with tools like Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, version control and configuration systems like GITLAB, Jenkins, code quality tools like SonarQube, Fortify, Veracode etc

·       Application security standards like OWASP

·       Git (Gitlab / Github)

·       Strong analytical skills, with high problem-solving capabilities

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·       Keep up the pace with the latest technology and developments in the industry

Good to Have

·      Knowledge in the Payments domain

·      Cloud-Native Design & Containerisation (Docker)

·      Knowledge of AWS (Or any other Cloud Platform)
