Senior Java Developer (5-8 years/ FinTech)

About the role:

Lead the design and hands-on development of backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and MySQL. The role involves owning modules end-to-end from requirement analysis to production delivery with focus on quality, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

Conduct technical assessments (e.g., VRA, security checklists) required by new BFSI clients.

Design and develop backend components and REST APIs using Spring Boot.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code.

Design database schemas and write optimized SQL queries in MySQL.

Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Work with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver stable releases.

Troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.

Mentor junior developers and help improve overall code quality.

Good to have:

Education: B.E./B. Tech/M. Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institute.

Experience: 58 years of experience in Java backend development with at least 12 years in a lead or senior role.

Strong knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.

Hands-on experience with MySQL including schema design and query optimization.

Familiar with version control (Git) and build tools (Maven/Gradle).

Exposure to Docker, AWS, or similar technologies is an advantage.

Good understanding of software design principles and performance considerations.
