Senior Java Backend developer -KAFKA Confluent

We are seeking a highly skilledTechnical DesignLead/Senior Developerwith strong expertise inConfluent Kafka & Javato lead the design, development, and optimization of our distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholdersincluding product managers, architects, and business teamsto gather requirements, align on priorities, and deliver impactful solutions.
• Design and implement scalable, high-throughput Kafka pipelines usingConfluent Kafka.
• Lead architectural decisions and mentor a team of developers.
• Develop microservices and APIs usingJava (Spring Boot).
• Manage schema evolution withAvro/ProtobufandSchema Registry.
• Implement Kafka Connect with custom and out-of-the-box connectors.
• Optimize system performance and ensure reliability in a production-grade environment.
• Collaborate with DevOps to deploy usingDocker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security compliance.

Requirements:

• 68 years of backend development experience with Java.
• Proven experience instakeholder management, including translating business requirements into technical solutions and effectively communicating project status and risks.
• 3+ years working hands-on with Kafka (preferably Confluent Cloud/Platform).
• Experience withKafka Connect, Kafka Streams, ksqlDB, and custom serializers/deserializers.
• Knowledge ofSpring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong problem-solving, system design, and debugging skills.
