Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Architect / Engineering Lead with 12–15 years of strong, hands-on experience in Java and enterprise application engineering, preferably within Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech environments.

The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, System Design, Software Architecture, Distributed Systems, and Design Patterns, along with the ability to independently architect, design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, high-performance, and resilient platforms.

This role requires a strong engineering and product mindset, with ownership across architecture, technical solutioning, development, code quality, performance, security, and delivery.

Key Technical Skills

Core Java & Backend Engineering

• Strong hands-on expertise in Core Java / Advanced Java
• Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17+
• Java Collections, Multithreading and Concurrency
• JVM fundamentals and performance optimization
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Spring MVC and enterprise application development
• RESTful APIs and API development
• Strong experience with Microservices Architecture

Architecture & System Design

• Strong expertise in Software Architecture, System Design, HLD and LLD
• Enterprise application architecture

• Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is preferred

• Define scalable, secure, resilient and high-performance technical architectures.
• Own architecture and technical decisions from requirement analysis through development and production delivery.
• Lead the design and development of Java-based enterprise and microservices applications.
• Review and improve HLD, LLD, architecture designs and critical technical solutions.
• Remain hands-on with Java development and participate in critical coding and code reviews.
• Identify and resolve complex performance, scalability, reliability and technical issues.
• Establish strong engineering practices, coding standards and architecture guidelines.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams and provide technical direction.
• Work closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders.
• Independently manage client-facing technical discussions, including:
• Requirement discussions
• Technical solutioning
• Architecture presentations
• Solution walkthroughs
• Technical issue resolution
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks and architectural approaches.
• Ensure solutions meet required standards for security, scalability, maintainability, performance and reliability.
