Job Description

  • Infrastructure Design and Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements and design solutions that align with business goals
  • Develop and maintain technical architecture documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and hardware specifications
  • Infrastructure Deployment and Management: Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networking devices, storage systems, and related hardware and software components
  • Implement and manage virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V) to optimize resource utilization and scalability
  • Oversee the administration of cloud services and platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) as needed
  • Network Management: Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement security measures to safeguard data and systems
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption to protect the organization's data and assets
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g. ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and system availability in the event of a hardware or software failure
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex infrastructure-related issues and incidents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor junior infrastructure engineers, providing guidance and sharing best practices
  • Participate in recruitment efforts to expand the IT infrastructure team
  • Project Management: Manage infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, and resource requirements
